Lunches: Microsoft, RIM Announce free hosted BES product? -Computerworld

CIO-BlackBerry-maker Research In Motion and Microsoft software giant this week is expected to announce a free version of Microsoft hosted BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Server) for customers of Online hosted Exchange e-mail.

Hosted BES product in itself is not new, but it would be the price free; BES for Microsoft Exchange Online currently costs $ 10 per month, according to a post on ZDNet.com, but reportedly will soon be free for customers of Microsoft Exchange 2010 Online, at least for the moment.

Exchange 2010 Online is the electronic mail of Microsoft hosted Exchange offering, and the product of BES allows users to use BlackBerry smartphones to access on-the-go to Exchange e-mail, calendar and tasks. And unknown lauded BlackBerry device industry security and management features of RIM.

Some additional details are available, but RIM has scheduled a webcast of "BlackBerry for Business" for 2 p.m. EST on Thursday, during which the product is likely to be officially announced, together with more specific.

I sat in on the webcast and I'll post further details worthy of note on free hosted BES for Microsoft Exchange Online 2010 ASAP, assuming your webcast proves to be related to this announcement says.
