Harris Corp. (HRS), a provider of it services for the Government, said that it will team with security by EMC Corp. and the Virtual Computing Environment Co. division to produce secure cloud products.
The partnership aims to "further accelerate the adoption of the cloud as a service infrastructure" in the Government and businesses by adding more security features to ensure customers data is safe, Harris based in Melbourne, Floridasaid today.
U.S. Chief Information Officer Vivek Kundra pushes organizations to adopt cloud computing for networks and applications, in which organizations share computing resources managed by private operators. This initiative is part of a greater effort by the administration Obama to reduce spending in response to the Federal Government budget deficit.
The partnership will provide so-called cloud tenants services, where more than one organization shares a cloud platform.
"Inhibitors to the adoption of the cloud base are more secure concerns multilocataire," Bret Harman, Chief Technology Officer for the EMC security division said in the statement. "Organizations require insurance resources share does not speak of shared data.".
