India says that rim Messenger remedy unsatisfactory-Reuters Italy

NEW DELHI/TORONTO (Reuters)-Indian security agencies are not satisfied with a plan offered by Research In Motion for them to have access to data about its services, BlackBerry Messenger, junior Telecoms Minister Sachin Pilot told Parliament on Wednesday.

RIM gave India access to its consumer-oriented services, including the Messenger service in January after the Indian authorities have raised safety concerns, but could not allow monitoring of its company email, he said.

RIM said it believed the pilot's written reply to a parliamentary question "may have been inadvertently prepared using outdated information" and was confident in his plan was proper and above those offered by rivals, including Nokia.
